Decoding Dyslexia Minnesota is holding their first annual Voices of Dyslexia Day on the Hill at the Minnesota State Capitol to raise awareness about the educational barriers faced by our children who struggle with the disability of dyslexia in our MN public schools. Voices of Dyslexia Day on the Hill is sponsored and supported by a partnership of parents, teachers, nonprofits and professionals concerned with the limited access to educational interventions for dyslexia and other language-based learning disabilities within our public schools.
Decoding Dyslexia Minnesota is advocating for laws and policies that include: a definition of Dyslexia in state education code, early identification, early appropriate remediation per the disability, access to assistive technology & teacher professional development.
It is very important to our mission & helping our MN Dyslexia population that the Legislators have the ability to see and meet the children & parents impacted by dyslexia. PLEASE COME!! We would like to fill this room with parents & kids. Please RSVP if you will commit to attending.
