Dyslexia District Leadership & Parent Advocate Workshop

Is it challenging to make meaningful dyslexia changes in your district? Is your parent advocacy group small, disorganized, or not effective in advocacy? Do you wish you were better equipped to advocate for your own child?

This conference will equip you with a step by step plan that has been used effectively in other districts to accomplish meaningful change. You will have an opportunity to network with state leaders in dyslexia including Dr. Amy Schulting, the Minnesota Department of Education Dyslexia Specialist. If you wish, you can be paired with an ongoing mentor to support you in taking what you learn at the conference and adapting it to the challenges your group and district are facing. Come re-charge your passion for helping dyslexic children with other like-minded advocates!

Agenda items include:

* Dr. Amy Schulting - Dyslexia Specialist, Minnesota Department of Education
* Panel Discussion - featuring perspectives from a school board member, legislative updates and higher education insights
* District Leadership and Advocacy Discussion
* School District Success Stories
