Dr. Shawn Robinson will share his story of navigating special education unidentified and unsupported with dyslexia and the journey that would take him from SPED to PHD. Rachel Berger, from Decoding Dyslexia MN, will interview him on his experiences and recommendations, plus moderate audience Q & A. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE; Dr. Shawn Robinson is changing the narrative for students with dyslexia and proving what is possible!

Dr. Shawn Anthony Robinson, Ph.D. has been personally affected by dyslexia. Having grown up in Illinois, he was officially diagnosed with dyslexia going into his senior year of high school. Robinson graduated from New Trier high school reading at an elementary level and started the Project Success summer program in 1996 at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. With the help of the Project Success program, along with Dr. William Kitz, Michael Flanagan, and others, Robinson learned to read. He went on to receive bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees.

Dr. Robinson’s goal is to change the narrative and give all students HOPE!
