Calling for Student Ambassadors

Hello Students!  It’s time to rally at the Capitol for DYSLEXIA!!!

On February 28th we will gather in the Rotunda to tell policymakers what students with dyslexia and their educators need and how they can support them.

This year, we’re looking for students to take the stage (podium) in a new way!  We’d like to select student ambassadors in grades 5-12. You will be an ambassador at the Rally and speak in the Capitol Rotunda about your dyslexia journey and how you have become an advocate and ambassador for the dyslexia community.

To apply, please dictate,  write an email, OR make a video sharing 4 things:

  1. In a short paragraph, what was it like for you in school before you knew you had dyslexia?
  2. How has getting help made a difference in your life, education and self-esteem?
  3. How are you helping others and the community to learn more about dyslexia/ what makes you a good ambassador?
  4. What does MN need to do better for all students with dyslexia?

*Videos should be no longer than 3 minutes. Email or document should be no longer than 1 page.

Please make you submissions by Sunday, February 17th

We will select 10 students and notify all ambassadors by Tuesday, February 18th.   If you are selected, you will join us at the podium in the Capitol Rotunda on February 28th and share your story.
